`Twitter is to Facebook what Google was to Yahoo` is a Social Networking analogy heard on Twitter. Is this analogy true to form, i.e. micro-blogging vs Search-Portals. This analogy applies in scope+and member acceptance, Yet in behavior, use, and value proposition, we find complimentary value, not a competing metaphor.
a) Twitter is OPEN ... your thoughts are published to the community of 6+MN Tweeters
b) You can search for any Tweets in the Tweeter Universe
c) Passive listening to other Tweets is accepted etiquette [i.e. Learning Experience]
d) Comment/Respond to Tweeting Universe
e) Grow a `flock` of common/complimentary-minded ... associated Tweeters, as the old adage state ~birds of a feather, flock _____.
I`m listening to a few scientists Tweet on Security, reading their WhitePapers & Blogs, it`s comparable to dropping-IN on a lecture at MIT on Next Generation Security.
